Most pliers within the Bahco range have undergone the ERGO™ Process. Each tool that bears the ERGO™ brand has undergone a unique, scientific, 11 point testing programme. Bahco’s Side Cutting pliers are used to cut copper, hard steel, and piano wire. Many of these models have undergone the ERGO ™ process. Models such as the 2101G, 2101G – A, and the 21010G – AHL feature an anti-corrosive black oxidised finish to prevent rust. Other models are chrome finished with the same outcome in mind. They feature high performance alloy steel, ERGO ™ handles with a thermoplastic surface on tough polypropylene which gives tradies a superior grip. They have induction hardened edges which are progressive, which ensures the cutting radius progresses along the edge from the inner jaw in order to cut hard material such as piano wire close to the joint, whilst being able to cut soft material such as plastic closer to the outer jaw. They have no edges that can injure the hand or damage sensitive components whilst offering greater leverage and increased cutting capacity due to their reduced cutting edge. There are also models available that are insulated to 1000v for electricians as well as those with coated plastic, longer handles for extra flexibility.

 

Bahco’s Combination Pliers offers the professional a range of options on the job. Models such as the 2628 G and 2628GC have similar product attributes to the Side Cutting Pliers and have undergone the Bahco ERGO™ process. They afford the users the ability to cut through material as tough as piano wire whilst having a gripping surface suited for gripping hard to secure round and flat surfaces. All pliers in the ERGO ™ range have jaws with rounded contours in order to be held comfortably in many different ways whilst improving accessibility in confined spaces.

 

For professionals involved in intricate work, Bahco offers a range of compact pliers for precision mechanics and electronics. All models in this category have undergone the ERGO™ process. The handles and grip sleeves offers maximum comfort in all situations and the range offers different cutting edges and angles to maximise accessibility. Pliers in the compact range feature different edge bevels that define the exact cut area which is demanded for soldering.
