Bahco manufacture a range of Bypass and Anvil loppers. They are used on fruit trees, vineyards, premium landscape environments and the occasional backyard garden. When creating a lopper, Bahco’s product designers ask themselves, ‘which lopper is best for which job’, generally this is after an exhaustive consultative process with end users on the job. The Bahco range features professional loppers such as the P114 & P116 range which is used in restrictive spaces with its slimmer shaped cutting head.

 

The P116 offers a range of handle length which is defined by the task at hand. Next is the P160 which is used in orchards and is perfect for fruit tree pruning.  

 

If hard core tree pruning is required, the P19-80-F by-pass blade or the P172–SL–85 anvil blade (for dead wood) are must haves for getting through dense mature wood with large diameter branches. As these tools are used by professionals, it makes sense for Bahco to have the ability to replace individual parts on their professional range of loppers should they require it. This adds lifespan to the tool and demonstrates Bahco’s understanding of the industries that it is serving.

 

Bahco’s secateurs are designed for use by people who make between 5000 and 12000 pruning cuts per day. Included in their offering are the PX and PXR which are the only 2 truly ergonomic secateurs in the market. Both have undergone the rigorous ERGO ™ process.  They offer the user a choice of different size cutting heads to suit the individuals need. The vertical and lateral inclination allows the hand to remain in a natural position which mitigates against Carpel Tunnel Syndrome and M.S.D.  

 

Users have the choice of the handle type, rotating or straight, along with a cutting head size which optimises the tool for both the user and the task it is performing. Users of these secateurs find them comfortable to use as the pressure is spread evenly as it adapts to the power of the users hand.  If these models are not for you, Bahco also manufacture a range of secateurs that cater for users that either embrace modern technology or prefer a tool that feels and performs like the ones they have always used.

 

Accuracy, sharpness, and balance are words used to describe Bahco’s hedge and grass shears. The P51 Superlight range is an award winning best in class hedge shear range. Great for tough stems of overgrown bush, it does the heavy cutting for the user.  The PG-56-F is compact in design and is perfect for use on trellis systems. Great for leaf cutting and plant shaping, the PG-57-F offers the user extended reach and the ability to be delicate. For traditional users the P57-25-W-F is available with its old school wooden handles and uncoated blades that allow for hand sharpening. Additions to the range are edging, lawn, and grass shears. 

 

Bahco also manufacture an extensive range of pruning saws and pruning tools for gardening. They range from the sharp aggressive XT , JS and JT toothing saws,  all offer extremely fast yet easy cuts and are used on green or dry wood. There is a range of folding saws with lockable blades and comfortable handles;  these can be carried in a holster or pocket while other work is done. There are traditional hard wood handle saws that are lightweight in design, yet offer a faster cut with their 11 to 14 inch blades. For the jobs that are hard to reach, Bahco offers pruning saws that can be attached to their AP-3M and AP-5M extension poles that are applicable to a broad spectrum of tasks and are easy to use.
